DXS & HTS Enter into the Dallas/Ft. Worth Market
HOUSTON (November 1, 2010) – HTS, the largest independent commercial HVAC manufacturers’ representative in North America, announced today the opening of a new office to serve the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The regional office will be located in Grand Prairie, Texas. Initially, HTS will represent HVAC products from Daikin AC, McQuay International, and Haakon Industries.
“While HTS has offices throughout North America, the success of our company rests in the quality of our regional relationships. HTS Texas has the ability to serve clients drawing on local and statewide knowledge to deliver real success,” said Mike Donovan, principal of HTS Texas. “Leveraging the growth of HTS Texas in the existing markets that we serve, the time was right to expand into the Dallas/Fort Worth market. McQuay Service, also located in Grand Prairie, will help to provide a seamless interface between HTS Texas, McQuay and area clients.
In addition, Direct Expansion Solutions (DXS), a division of HTS, will also expand into North Texas. DXS solely specializes in variable refrigerant volume implementation and design and will work closely with the U.S. Daikin office located nearby in Carrollton, Texas. Donovan explained, “The move to Dallas/Fort Worth will enable DXS to support the marketing and sales effort for the Daikin VRV technology.”
In cities throughout the regions HTS serves, the Dallas/Fort Worth office will provide greater coordination from start to finish between projects designed in other Texas cities and built in Dallas/Fort Worth and/or projects designed in Dallas/Fort Worth and constructed in other locations.
“We are thrilled to offer an on-the-ground presence to provide the latest innovations in high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to building owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, mechanical contractors and facilities maintenance crews in north Texas,” Donovan said. The new Dallas/Fort Worth office will be located at 1250 Post N Paddock Street, Suite 300, Grand Prairie, Texas 75050. The office will be initially staffed with four sales representatives and service technicians. For sales and support, the HTS/DXS team can be reached at 1-866-544-1487

Five Minutes With – John Dean ‘Daikin Systems’
Friday, June 18, 2010
San Antonio Business Journal – by Sandra Lowe SanchezAt 33, John Dean has a lot of experience in the air conditioning business. Working for his dad’s general contracting business in high school, Dean was intrigued with the air conditioning systems installed by his Uncle Jeff’s company, Beyer Mechanical. Out of high school, he went to work for the company. He’s been at Beyer since, with the exception of a three-year hiatus where he honed his skills at Friedrich Air Conditioning. His career at Beyer has taken him from mechanic to lead mechanic, then to project manager and now senior estimator for commercial HVAC construction.
Konnichiwa
Keith and Thomas recently flew to Japan to tour one of Daikin’s factory plants. Although they were aware of Daikin’s large market share in Japan, it was still a surprise to look out of their hotel window and see all the Daikin condensing units on almost every rooftop.
The factory plant itself was truly impressive. It was clean as a whistle and had only a handful of factory workers since the vast majority of the manufacturing process was automated. Small robots even wheeled themselves around to check on quality control while playing a little tune.
We hope you’ll enjoy a few of their pictures from Japan! Unfortunately cameras were not allowed in the factory.
